{"id":3054,"date":"2007-10-28T12:00:49","date_gmt":"2007-10-28T12:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dns.icann.org\/?p=3054"},"modified":"2019-07-21T18:00:50","modified_gmt":"2019-07-21T18:00:50","slug":"ip-change-28oct07","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dns.icann.org\/ip-change-28oct07\/","title":{"rendered":"L.ROOT-SERVERS.NET Change of IP address OCT-2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>IMPORTANT: Change of IP address<\/h2>\n<p>This is advance notice that there is a scheduled change to the IP address of L.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.<\/p>\n<p>The new IPv4 address for the server will be:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>199.7.83.42<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This change is anticipated to be implemented in the root zone on 1 November 2007, however the new address is operational now. It will replace the previous IP address of 198.32.64.12.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage operators of DNS infrastructure to update any references to the old IP address, and replace it with the new address. In particular, many DNS resolvers have a DNS root &#8220;hints&#8221; file.
